The Middle Atlantic States Komondor Club (M.A.S.K.C.) was founded in 1973 as a regional breed club for fanciers of the Hungarian Komondor. For decades, we were a highly active club: hosting annual Fall Match shows, supporting record-breaking Komondor entries at the Trenton and Bucks County Kennel Club shows, and actively facilitating welfare and rescue placements.
Today, M.A.S.K.C. has transitioned from a “live” operating club into a dedicated digital archive and educational trust. While we no longer host dog shows, sponsor ring entries, or hold traditional in-person club events, a core group of our long-time members continues to meet virtually to keep the M.A.S.K.C. legacy alive.
What We Do Now
- Preserve the historical records, photographs, pedigrees, and newsletters of the club.
- Provide honest, educational information for prospective and current Komondor owners.
- Answer questions and offer guidance on coat care, training, diet, and behavior.
- Encourage ethical breeding and responsible ownership.
Stay Connected
We are still here to help. Through our website and email, our remaining members continue to serve as a resource, a point of communication, and a faithful guardian of the breed’s history.
